How It Works

Merge Images in 6 Simple Steps

No software to install. No account needed. Your photos never leave your device. Here is exactly how it works.

1

Upload Your Images

Click the upload box or drag and drop your images directly onto the page. You can add JPG, PNG, or WEBP files. There is no limit on how many you can add at once.

💡 Tip: You can add more images after your first upload — just drop more files in.
2

Reorder Your Images

After uploading, your images appear as small thumbnails. Drag them into any order you want. The number badge on each image shows its current position in the merged result.

💡 Tip: Getting the order right before merging saves time.
3

Choose a Layout

Pick how you want the images arranged. Horizontal puts them side by side. Vertical stacks them top to bottom. Grid organizes them in rows and columns — great for collages.

4

Set Your Options

Customize the gap between images (0–100 pixels), choose a background color that fills any empty space, set how many columns to use in grid mode, and pick your output format: JPEG, PNG, or WEBP.

💡 Tip: A 10–20px gap with a white background gives a clean, professional look.
5

Click “Merge Images”

Hit the Merge Images button. The tool processes everything instantly inside your browser. A progress bar shows it working, and your merged image preview appears below in seconds.

6

Download Your File

Click the Download button to save the merged image to your device. The file is named merged-image.jpg (or .png / .webp). Done — no watermarks, no fees, no fuss.

Three Layout Modes

Pick the one that fits your project best.

Horizontal

Images placed side by side in a row. Each image is scaled to the same height. Best for comparisons and timelines.

Vertical

Images stacked top to bottom. Each image is scaled to the same width. Great for step-by-step guides.

Grid

Images arranged in rows and columns. You choose the number of columns. Perfect for photo collages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never sent anywhere. They stay on your device the whole time.
Is there a limit on file size or image count?
There is no set limit. You can merge as many images as you want. However, very large images may slow down processing on older or low-memory devices.
Will the quality of my images be reduced?
Only if you lower the quality slider. By default it is set to 92%, which preserves very high quality. Set it to 100% for a lossless result (best used with PNG or WEBP).
Does this tool work on iPhone or Android?
Yes. The tool works on all modern mobile browsers including Safari (iOS) and Chrome (Android). The layout adjusts automatically to smaller screens.
How do I start over with different images?
After merging, click the Start Over button to clear everything and start fresh. You can also remove individual images by clicking the × button on each thumbnail before merging.
